Lands mapped in three communities in Port-Loko

The land owners totaling 18 families in Faidugu, Mabain, and Koya in the North Western Sierra Leone of Port Loko district all received their land parcel maps on Sunday 27th September 2020. This was done at a ceremony in the Chiefdom Headquarters of Malal Conteh in the presence of the Regent chief and Chiefdom authorities. Women and men representatives of the land owning families from these communities received their maps, reinforcing the gender dimension and women’s empowerment component of the just concluded UN Peace Building Fund supported project managed by UNFAO and ILO and implemented by Green Scenery and partner UPHR in Port Loko. The high point was a group picture with all holding their maps high in the air.
