Green Scenery Participated in Two Days Consultative Meeting on Environmental Protection

 Green Scenery participated in two days consultative meeting/workshop titled “AFRIPAC: Effective Capacity Building for Global Plastic Treaty in Sierra Leone” organized by the Environment Protection Agency (EPA) at the Radisson Blu Mammy Yoko Hotel, Freetown on the 30th and 31st March 2023. The goal of the workshop is to empower and increase negotiators’ knowledge and capacity and increase collaboration in Cabo Verde, Guinea Bissau, Sao Tome and Principe, Senegal, and Sierra Leone for the Intergovernmental Negotiating Committee to develop international legally binding instrument on plastic pollution, including in the marine environment, by 2024.
The workshop was attended by various shareholders, environmental organizations, government agencies and universities combating plastic pollution in Sierra Leone.
The meeting ended that a comprehensive data of all stakeholders working on plastic waste and pollution including Green Scenery should be documented.
